Players of the Week: Number 1

WEEK ONE Player of the Week

Back in season one Buffalo spent 5.5 million dollars on the rights to Japanese 1st baseman. Up until this past week that has been money unwisely spent. In 8 major league seasons he had 59 homeruns, 275 RBI and an avg around .280. Not numbers you would want from a 1st baseman. Last week though Nakamura helped Charlotte off to a nice 11-8 start by swatting 8 homers and driving in 26 runs while batting close to .400. Will he be able to keep up the pace? For 7.5 million dollars he better.

WEEK ONE Pitcher of the Week

The LuauDawgs are off to a nice start due in large part to the right arm of Tony Blair. In 5 starts he is 4-1 with 1.09 WHIP and 2.57 ERA while striking out 28 in 35 innings. He is off to a great start if he is looking to add his 2nd CY Young award this season.
